Woman points gun at drive-thru customer over 'line-cutting' at McDonald's

Alexis White, 24, is facing two felony charges and a misdemeanor.

SOUTH HAVEN, Mich. —

A 24-year-old South Haven woman who allegedly pointed a gun at another customer at a McDonald's drive-thru after a verbal altercation over “line-cutting” was in court Wednesday.

South Haven Police said Tuesday morning around 8 a.m., White allegedly pointed a black handgun at another customer in line. The victim and White did not know each other prior to the incident.

White was still in the drive-thru when she was found waiting to pick up her order. After a search of her vehicle, a 9mm handgun was found under her seat.

Officials said no shots were fired, and no injuries were reported. They said White had a young child in the car during the altercation, who was handed over to family members.

Because of the time of day and proximity, South Haven High School was placed under lockdown for about 10 minutes.

She was arrested and charged with felonious assault with a dangerous weapon without intending to commit a crime, murder, or inflict harm; carrying a concealed weapon, a felony; and violation of a weapon-free school zone.

Her bond was set at $15,000 cash/surety. White will be back in court later in September.
