No one hurt in early morning fire at Wyoming duplex

Firefighters and other first responders haven't released any information about the cause of the fire, as it's currently being investigated.

WYOMING, Mich. — No one was hurt in a structure fire at a duplex early Friday morning. 

According to the Wyoming Fire Department, responders reported to a structure fire located in the 2900 block of Burlingame Avenue SW around 5:45 a.m. 

The department said most of the fire was located in the garage, and the home only suffered minimal smoke and fire damage. 

Authorities said everyone was able to make it out of the home without injury, including pets. 

The tenants affected by the fire are being helped by the Red Cross for temporary shelter, food and other essential services while repairs are made.

The Wyoming Fire Department was assisted by the Grandville and Georgetown Township fire departments and a neighbor initially reported the fire. 

Firefighters and other first responders have not released any information about the cause of the fire, as it's currently being investigated by the Wyoming Fire Marshal’s Office.
