Wyoming crash leaves 1 dead

A pickup truck traveling eastbound on 44th Street hit a car that was entering the intersection from Stafford Avenue, according to police.

WYOMING, Mich. — A person was killed Friday morning in a crash in Wyoming.

Police say the crash happened in the intersection of 44th Street and Stafford Avenue around 7:40 a.m. A pickup truck traveling eastbound on 44th Street hit a car that was entering the intersection from Stafford Avenue.

The driver of the car was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the truck was uninjured.

Eastbound 44th Avenue between Stafford Avenue and Clay Avenue will be closed for about two hours, police say. Drivers are encouraged to find an alternate route to avoid delays.
