LANSING, Mich. — A Michigan Lottery player made history Wednesday after winning the Lotto 47 jackpot online.
The winner raked in the $7.19 million jackpot after purchasing their ticket online at MichiganLottery.com.
The player, who has not claimed their prize yet, matched all six numbers (22, 24, 26, 40, 41, 44) to win the historic jackpot.
The previous record for an online jackpot was $5.75 million, set back in 2021.
“Congratulations to the lucky Michigan Lottery player who made history last night winning a $7.19 million Lotto 47 jackpot, with a ticket bought online,” said Lottery Commissioner Suzanna Shkreli. “The Lottery’s online game portfolio gives Michiganders the chance to win huge jackpot prizes with tools that promote responsible play while supporting public schools. This is a huge win for the lucky player and the Michigan Lottery’s industry-leading online game platform.”
The player who won the record-setting jackpot should contact the Lottery’s Player Relations division at 844-917-6325 to claim their prize.
Lotto 47 costs $1 to play and has a progressive jackpot that starts at $1 million and grows until someone matches all six numbers.
Lotto 47 drawings take place on Wednesday and Saturday at 7:29 p.m. Tickets may be purchased at a retailer or online at MichiganLottery.com until 7:08 p.m. on the day of the drawing.
