GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — A West Michigan woman woke up her whole family after she learned she won big.

Lisa Cecil, 66, of Grand Rapids, matched the five white balls to win Powerball's big prize on June 12, earning her $1 million.

She bought her winning ticket at the Family Fare at 5241 Northland Drive Northeast in Grand Rapids.

When she looked at her numbers, 9-30-31-61-62, and compared them to the drawing, she could barely believe it.

“I play Powerball regularly and I always check my numbers online after the drawing,” said Cecil. “It was after midnight when I checked this ticket, and I saw I had three numbers, then four, and I thought to myself: ‘I think I just won some money!’ When I checked off the fifth number, I was in disbelief."

She never dreamed she would win a prize like this.

“I woke everyone in our house up saying: ‘I think I just won $1 million!’ Once my family looked the ticket over and confirmed what I was seeing, I knew it was real.”

Cecil visited the Lottery headquarters recently to collect her prize.

She told Lottery officials she plans to pay off her home and share it with her family.

The Powerball drawing takes place at 10:59 p.m. on Monday, Wednesday and Saturday and may be watched live online at: http://www.powerball.com.
