MICHIGAN, USA — One Michigander is waking up a millionaire after a Lotto 47 ticket purchased online won a $1.72 million jackpot.
Now, the Michigan Lottery is searching for the winner.
The online ticket matched the numbers drawn Wednesday: 04-12-25-33-41-47. This is the fifth time a Lotto 47 jackpot has been won this year.
“It has been an incredibly lucky week for Michigan Lottery players who have won two $25,000 a year for life Lucky For Life prizes, a $5 million Mega Millions prize, and a $1.72 million Lotto 47 jackpot,” said Lottery Commissioner Suzanna Shkreli. “These big wins have helped bring awareness to lottery and will help us post a strong finish to the fiscal year with a contribution to the School Aid Fund topping $1 billion for the sixth straight year.”
The winner should contact the lottery’s Player Relations division at 844-917-6325 to set up an appointment to claim the jackpot. Tickets are valid for a year after the drawing.
Lotto 47 costs $1 to play and has a progressive jackpot that starts at $1 million and grows until someone matches all six numbers.
Lotto 47 drawings take place on Wednesday and Saturday at 7:29 p.m. Tickets may be purchased at a retailer or online at MichiganLottery.com until 7:08 p.m. on the day of the drawing.
