A man has died after being shot multiple times on New Year's Eve. St. Joseph Township police went to a home on Colfax Avenue near Nickerson Avenue.
23-year-old Tyrone Hassell III was home on military leave visiting family in Benton Harbor. When police arrived at the home around 11:10 p.m. they found Hassell suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was treated at the scene and transferred to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The incident is still under investigation. If you know anything about it you are asked to call the St. Joseph Township Department of Public Safety or Crimestoppers.
