Quarterback Nick Foles has avoided the Los Angeles Rams’ offseason workouts since the franchise selected Jared Goff with the first overall pick a month ago, coach Jeff Fisher confirmed Wednesday.
Foles had been a regular at the Rams’ temporary facility in Oxnard, Calif., until the draft. Since then, Foles has not taken part in the team-run training program and missed start of organized team activities (OTAs) on Tuesday.
"I think Nick has the feeling that if things stay the same, he's probably not going to be on the roster," Fisher said.
Fisher added that he was trying to work things out with Foles but that the two were "on the same page."
The Rams acquired Foles before the start of last season, a deal that sent quarterback Sam Bradford to the Philadelphia Eagles. Foles was benched late in the season in favor of Case Keenum.
Foles received a $6 million roster bonus in March and has a guaranteed salary of $1.75 million this season.
