GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Election Day is now three weeks away!

While many West Michiganders will wait until Election Day itself to cast their ballots, Michigan holds nine days of early in-person voting. That begins on Saturday, Oct. 26 and continues through Sunday, Nov. 3.

There will be no voting available on Monday, Nov. 4. Voting will resume on Election Day, which is Tuesday, Nov. 5. Polls will be open for voters from 7 a.m. until 8 p.m. on Election Day.

There is no difference to the voting process if you vote early and in person. You will still complete a voter application, fill out your ballot and place it into the tabulator.

You must be registered to vote before going to an early voting location to vote. You cannot register at an early voting location.

Early in-person voting was adopted in Michigan after voters overwhelmingly passed a ballot measure in 2022.

If you're interested in casting your ballot in-person ahead of Nov. 5, you can find your polling location and hours here:
