WALKER, Mich. — Former President Donald Trump will be making a campaign stop in Walker on Friday, where he's expected to address inflation and the economy.
Trump will be speaking at FALK Production, located at 1782 Northbridge Drive NW. He is scheduled to begin his remarks at 2 p.m.
Because of this visit, there will be some road closures in Walker, according to the Walker Police Department. The following roads will be closed from about 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday:
- Bristol Avenue between 3 Mile Road and 4 Mile Road
- Northridge Drive between Shippers Drive and Bristol Avenue
Other roads will be closed temporarily as the motorcade comes through.
Police say school bus routes will be running as usual, but there may be some delays.
Walker police are also reminding West Michiganders of safety guidelines if they plan on attending the event.
Ticketholders should remember to check their tickets for transportation details, as there will not be parking at FALK Production. Attendees are also reminded that bags and purses will not be allowed inside the venue and the Secret Service will be screening guests.
There will not be walk-up tickets available at FALK Production. You can register online.
Doors open at 11 a.m.
Trump's visit comes about a week after Vice President Kamala Harris held a virtual campaign event in Farmington Hills with Oprah Winfrey.
Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, the Democratic vice presidential nominee, will also appear in Ann Arbor over the weekend for a campaign event and to cheer on the University of Minnesota against the University of Michigan.
