HOWELL, Mich. — As both the Republicans and Democrats eye the battleground state of Michigan, another presidential campaign visit is planned for next Tuesday.

Former President Donald J. Trump will be visiting Howell on Tuesday, Aug. 20 to speak on crime and safety.

The former president will be speaking at 3 p.m. at the Livingston County Sheriff's Office located at 150 S Highlander Way in Howell.

Both the Trump and the Harris campaigns have shown focus on Michigan with multiple stops from the two campaigns for events in the last month.

Trump's VP pick, JD Vance, was most recently in Michigan on Aug. 14 for a campaign rally in Byron Center and then a stop at the Downtown Market in Grand Rapids.

Trump's visit to Howell on Tuesday will come in the middle of the Democratic National Convention, which is set to kick off on Monday in Chicago and last through Thursday. Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer is slated to speak at the convention on Wednesday.
