LANSING, Mich. — First Lady of Minnesota Gwen Walz is traveling to Michigan Tuesday for a Harris-Walz campaign stop.
Gwen Walz is a former educator and wife to the Democratic vice presidential nominee Tim Walz.
Gwen Walz is joining reproductive rights advocate Hadley Duvall, Attorney General Dana Nessel and Michigan Democratic Party Chair Lavora Barnes to kick off the “Fighting for Reproductive Freedom” bus tour in Lansing.
The event kicks off on Tuesday, Sept. 24 at 12 p.m. as speakers highlight the contrast between the Democratic and Republican reproductive health agendas.
The Fighting for Reproductive Freedom tour is making at least 50 stops around the country.
This is the second time Gwen Walz made a campaign stop in West Michigan this month. On Sept. 5, Walz was the main speaker at an education-focused event in Grand Rapids.
Former President Donald Trump is also set to make a campaign stop in Michigan this week.
The Trump-Vance campaign announced Trump will hold a campaign event on Friday, Sept. 27 at 2 p.m. in Walker.
The event will be held at FALK Production, located at 1782 Northbridge Drive NW.
