LANSING, Mich. — Just days after a Michigan judge ruled that Robert F. Kennedy Jr. must remain on the ballot as a presidential candidate in November, a court of appeals has reversed that decision.

The court ordered Friday that Kennedy can remove his name from the ballot ahead of the general election in November.

Kennedy suspended his campaign and endorsed former President Donald Trump in August and requested to have his name removed from the Michigan ballot on Aug. 23. Kennedy also requested his name withdrawn from other states as well.

After Kennedy's request was denied by the Michigan Bureau of Elections, Kennedy filed suit but it was ruled that his name had to remain on the ballot. Kennedy then appealed the decision and won his appeal.

"We hold that plaintiff is entitled to mandamus relief and that defendant shall remove plaintiff’s name from the ballot, as requested," the court order reads in conclusion.

Kennedy was running as the presidential candidate for the Natural Law Party of Michigan.
