KALAMAZOO, Mich. — With just two weeks to go until Election Day, Vice President Kamala Harris is continuing a prolonged recent push into critical regions in the nation's top battleground states.
Now, 13 ON YOUR SIDE has learned, Harris is set to return to West Michigan just one week after rallying supporters in Grand Rapids and other cities across the state.
And, according to one source, she won't be alone.
The Harris campaign confirmed to 13 ON YOUR SIDE Wednesday morning the vice president would be campaigning in Kalamazoo on Saturday, Oct. 26, alongside former First Lady Michelle Obama.
The visit, expected on the same day as the beginning of the state's mandatory early in-person voting period, had initially been announced by the Kalamazoo County Democratic Party Tuesday night.
As of Wednesday morning, details including the time and exact location of Harris's expected event were not yet disclosed.
In the waning weeks of the campaign, polls have suggested the race in Michigan has come down to the thinnest of wires.
According to their latest forecast at the time of this article's publishing, ABC's FiveThirtyEight placed Harris with a 53-out-of-100 chance of winning, with former President Donald Trump having a 47-out-of-100 chance of carrying the state's pivotal 15 electoral votes.
