DETROIT — The Harris-Walz campaign announced Thursday that Democratic presidential nominee Vice President Kamala Harris will be stopping into the state of Michigan in the final days before Election Day.
Harris will be making a series of stops across Metro Detroit on Sunday as well as "rallying young voters" in East Lansing.
First, Harris is set to attend a Black church Sunday morning in Detroit. After that she will stop into a restaurant in Detroit's Livernois district before making a final stop to an unspecified local spot in Pontiac.
She'll end her day with a rally at Michigan State University.
The purpose of her day in Michigan is to meet with voters in the Great Lakes State to discuss the issues most important to them and encourage them to get out and vote ahead of Election Day on Tuesday.
This stop in Michigan will be her 11th trip to the state, her 6th to Detroit and 2nd to Lansing.
She's expected to deliver remarks at the Michigan State campus around 6:30 p.m. The rally at the university is meant to build upon Harris-Walz campaign’s youth organizing program in Michigan, which the campaign said is the largest youth organizing program anywhere in the country.
