FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich. — Vice President Kamala Harris, the Democratic nominee for president, will be in Michigan on Thursday.

She is scheduled to land in Detroit around 5:05 p.m. and hold a campaign event in Farmington Hills around 8 p.m.

While in Michigan, Harris is set to participate in a two-hour "Unite for America" nighttime streaming session hosted by Oprah Winfrey.

Organizers said the stream aims to highlight dozens of grassroots groups backing Harris.

This is Harris' third visit to the battleground state since she became the party's presumptive and later official nominee. She spoke with labor leaders and workers back in August and again on Labor Day.

Harris' running mate, Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, also stopped in Michigan last week.

Harris is not the only White House hopeful who headed to the state this week.

The Trump campaign issued a statement ahead of Harris' streaming session in Detroit with Oprah:

"It's clear Kamala Harris has no idea how to tackle our economic crisis - her policies got Michiganders into this mess, and she's offered no plan on how to fight inflation. Well, we're sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but you can't lower inflation by hiding goodie bags under chairs. Michiganders can't afford life right now - four more years is unimaginable. Oh, and don't forget - a Harris-Walz administration means that you'll get a tax raise, you'll get a tax raise, and you'll get a tax raise!" Republican vice presidential nominee JD Vance and former President Donald Trump both spoke in Michigan on Tuesday. Vance appeared in Sparta and Trump held a campaign event in Flint.
