GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — With less than two months until the election, Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz will be visiting Michigan to campaign this week.

Walz, who is the Democratic nominee for vice president, will appear in Grand Rapids on both Thursday and Friday.

He is expected to land at the Gerald R. Ford International Airport at 5:30 p.m. Thursday and speak at a campaign event in Grand Rapids at 7 p.m.

His team says he will be sharing Vice President Kamala Harris' plan for the future while denouncing former President Donald Trump's policies as "extreme and dangerous."

Walz will also be participating in "political events" in Grand Rapids on Friday morning before flying to Wisconsin.

He will be visiting West Michigan just days after the debate between Harris and Trump, which is the first time the two will meet face-to-face.

Gwen Walz, a former educator and wife of the governor, was in Michigan just last week to campaign for her husband. The battleground state has also seen visits from Harris, Trump, Republican vice president nominee JD Vance and President Joe Biden.
