ANN ARBOR, Mich. — Minnesota Gov. and vice presidential candidate Tim Walz is coming to Michigan this weekend to catch a football game. But he likely won't be cheering on the Wolverines.
University of Michigan (3-1) will take on University of Minnesota (2-2) in Ann Arbor at noon ET on Saturday.
It will be one of Walz's last stops ahead of the Vice Presidential debate in New York City on Oct. 1, ABC News said.
Walz has been in Michigan to campaign multiple times since he was nominated as the vice presidential candidate by Vice President Kamala Harris. His first solo visit was on Sept. 12 in Grand Rapids.
Gwen Walz, a former educator and Tim's wife, has also stopped in Michigan twice to speak to voters in the last month as well.
Former President Donald Trump is also making an appearance in Walker, Michigan on Friday.
