Vice President Kamala Harris set to speak in Detroit this week

Vice President Harris is scheduled to appear in Detroit on Thursday, Sept. 19 before flying to Wisconsin.

DETROIT — Vice President Kamala Harris, the Democratic nominee for president, will be making another campaign stop in Michigan this week.

She is scheduled to appear in Detroit on Thursday, Sept. 19 before flying to Wisconsin.

This is Harris' third visit to the battleground state since she became the party's nominee. She spoke with labor leaders and workers back in August, and again on Labor Day.

Harris' running mate, Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, also stopped in Michigan last week.

Harris is not the only White House hopeful heading to the state this week. Republican vice presidential nominee JD Vance and former President Donald Trump will both speak in Michigan on Tuesday. Vance will appear in Sparta, and Trump will hold a campaign event in Flint.

It has not yet been announced the time or place that Harris will be speaking.
