What's Up This Weekend: Egg hunts and enchanted parties

Easter Egg hunts and the Gazelle Girl are just two of the many events happening this weekend!

It's Tuesday, which means 13 ON YOUR SIDE is looking forward to the weekend with the help of Grand Rapids Kids. With Easter just around the corner there are lots of activities that celebrate the holiday and the spring season.

That includes all kinds of Easter Egg Hunts! Kids ages 3-10 are invited to Blythefield CRC in Rockford to hunt for eggs, make a craft and listen to the Easter story. Grace Chapel in Zeeland is hosting a hunt with carnival games, coffee for the parents and so much more. In Grand Rapids, Knapp Street Reformed Church is hosting an old fashioned egg hunt. Kids will be divided into age groups to make sure its safe and fun.

Or head to the Woodland Mall for the Enchanted Spring Party complete with the Easter Bunny, a mermaid, and even a unicorn. Kids can have their picture taken with a mermaid, visit the Easter bunny, and take home a unicorn- themed craft. It's happening from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Saturday.

On Sunday morning the 7th annual Gazelle Girl 5k, 10k, and half marathon hits the streets. It's an all women event and lots of moms and daughters run together. The event raises funds for four local charities. There is still plenty of time to register. The first race begins at 7:30 a.m.
