SANDUSKY, Ohio — If you're looking for a place to watch the total solar eclipse this April, Cedar Point is offering packages to visit the park during totality.

Called "Total Eclipse of the Point," the event will give visitors the opportunity to enjoy the park's attractions and watch the solar eclipse. Along with rides and food, there will be a live DJ, activities for the whole family, games and more.

The total solar eclipse, happening on April 8, will leave some areas in the path of totality in darkness for several minutes. This includes Sandusky and other regions of Ohio. All 48 contiguous states will see at least a partial solar eclipse.

The last time the U.S. saw a total solar eclipse was in 2017. Another one will not happen until 2044.

There are three Total Eclipse of the Point packages available, ranging from basic admission to exclusive experiences.

All packages include solar eclipse glasses, two souvenir buttons and a commemorative lanyard. The VIP package, which includes a meal voucher and a 30-minute viewing window on coaster Valravn, has already sold out.

There will be multiple areas to watch as totality sweeps across Sandusky, including Cedar Point's beaches and elevated decks of the Grand Pavilion.

Total Eclipse of the Point runs from noon to 6 p.m. on Monday, April 8. There are limited tickets available. Tickets to visit the park will not be available for purchase outside of Total Eclipse of the Point.

If you're not able to make it to Cedar Point for this event, there are viewing parties and other events happening in West Michigan, which will see about 93% totality. To learn more, click here.
