GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Saturday night will mark the debut of 13 On Your Sidelines: College Edition. This show mimics the content and highlights seen with high school football on Friday nights, but instead with college football Saturdays.
This new show will air from 11:15 to 11:35 on Saturday evenings and feature all the college football teams in our area from division one to division three schools.
Saturday night's slate will feature eight games from across the area:
- Michigan vs. Texas- Noon kickoff
- College Gameday comes to Ann Arbor for the No. 10 Wolverines and No. 4 Texas Longhorns.
- Michigan State at Maryland- 3:30 p.m. kickoff
- Michigan State looks to win its first Big Ten game of the season when it hits the road for Maryland.
- Western Michigan at Ohio State- 7:00 p.m. kickoff
- Another daunting task for the Broncos, who travel to No. 2 Ohio State for their second road game to start the season.
- Central Michigan at Florida International- 6:00 p.m. kickoff
- The Chippewas look to start their season 2-0.
- Ferris State vs. Lake Erie- 6:00 p.m. kickoff
- Ferris State looks to rebound in its home opener after starting the season 0-1.
- Davenport at Thomas More- noon kickoff
- Davenport begins its season with back to back road games.
- Hope vs. Loras College- 1:00 p.m. kickoff
- The Flying Dutchmen begin a highly anticipated season with a home game in Holland.
- Calvin vs. Oberlin- 1:00 kickoff
- Calvin takes the field for its first ever football game in school history.
It will be the same anchor team you see on Friday nights. Jacob Seus joined 13 On Your Side in March after serving as sports director for three years at our sister station in Fayetteville, Arkansas. Prior to that, he worked in Binghamton, New York. Yaw Bonsu joined us in June after graduating from Hofstra University. Yaw may be relatively new to the industry, but he’s already told some incredible stories for 13 On Your Side this summer.
