COMSTOCK PARK, Mich. — Two of the Detroit Tigers' top-ranked prospects are coming to West Michigan.
Outfielder Max Clark, who Detroit drafted No.3 overall in the MLB Draft, will suit up for the Whitecaps on Tuesday.
Clark joins shortstop Kevin McGonigle who was selected with the No. 37 overall pick.
Clark is the 10th-ranked prospect in MLB pipeline's top-100 prospect list, ahead of pitcher Jackson Jobe who has made numerous rehab starts for West Michigan over the past few months.
The 19-year-old's last big stage was the MLB Future's Game where he tallied a single in the leadoff spot. He's hit seven homers with 11 doubles this season.
Clark was the fifth player in Lakeland history to compete in the All-Star Futures Game, finishing 1-for-4.
Meanwhile, McGonigle is the No. 63 player on the pipeline list. His call-up comes after tallying 15 doubles and three home runs for Low-A Lakeland.
The pair of Tiger prospects debut for the Whitecaps on Tuesday. West Michigan takes on Lansing and will be celebrating the Tigers' 1984 World Series.
Game time is 6:35 p.m.
