COOPERSVILLE, Mich. — The Coopersville High School boys basketball team is having a season for the ages.
The Broncos are an outstanding 17-2 overall and in second place in the OK Blue Conference.
The Broncos have been rolling, winning seven straight.
"Feels good with all of the hard work we put in in practice," Coopersville senior Eli Spencer said. "All of the guys work hard. Iron sharpens iron and it just shows hard work and team effort."
They have won all of those games by 10 points or more.
Coopersville says they play unselfish ball because they feel like something special is on the horizon.
"Obviously, I have coached a long time," Coopersville head coach Pete VanKempen said. "This is one of the better teams I have had. They know it. I tell them all of the time. I also think this is one of the closer teams I have ever had and I tell them that all the time. I think we are coming around and we are just going to keep playing hard and let the chips fall where they may."
The Bronco's last loss came at the hands of Unity Christian. Coopersville will play the Crusaders on Friday night with the first play in the OK Blue on the line.
