MICHIGAN, USA — The high school football season is in full swing and 13 On Your Sidelines, sponsored by Rant Insurance Group, hit the sidelines once again to get all the highlights for week three.
Game of the Week: Coopersville at Lowell
Last year, seven schools from the OK Conference decided to make their own conference. Our 13 On Your Sidelines Game of the Week for week three marks the first ever conference game for that new conference, the River Cities Alliance.
It was Coopersville and Lowell's first time facing each other in their new conference, and their first time facing each other since 1983. However, before 1983 the two teams played each other 17 times total. Out of the 17 times they've gone up against each other in the past, Coopersville has won nine times and Lowell seven.
Friday night was also Lowell's Pink Arrow Game for 2024. Through Pink Arrow Pride, the school has raised more than $500,000 since 2008 for cancer-related charities.
Part 1: Coopersville vs. Lowell, Forest Hills Central vs. Forest Hills Northern, Forest Hills Eastern vs. Unity Christian, South Christian vs. West Catholic
Coopersville vs. Lowell: Coopersville won, 35-27.
Forest Hills Central vs. Forest Hills Northern: Forest Hills Central won, 17-14.
Forest Hills Eastern vs. Unity Christian: Unity Christian won, 44-20.
South Christian vs. West Catholic: South Christian won, 41-38.
Part 2: Sacred Heart vs. Muskegon Heights, Portland vs. Ionia, Zeeland West vs. Whitehall, Spring Lake vs. Reeths-Puffer
Sacred Heart vs. Muskegon Heights: Sacred Heart won, 34-8.
Portland vs. Ionia: Portland won, 42-21.
Zeeland West vs. Whitehall: Zeeland West won, 60-43.
Spring Lake vs. Reeths-Puffer: Reeths-Puffer won, 26-14.
Part 3: Grandville vs. Rockford, Jenison vs. Hudsonville, West Ottawa vs. Grand Haven
Grandville vs. Rockford: Rockford won, 37-20.
Jenison vs. Hudsonville: Hudsonville won, 38-6.
West Ottawa vs. Grand Haven: Grand Haven won, 26-14.
Part 4: Holland Christian vs. Holland, Union vs. Hamilton
Holland Christian vs. Holland: Holland Christian won, 38-12.
Union vs. Hamilton: Hamilton won, 49-0.
