Game of the Week: Newaygo at Tri County
A Friday night that started with such excitement and such a hyped crowd, ended prematurely with silence and lots of prayers in Howard City.
Tri County hosted Newaygo in a battle of undefeated teams that have been playing each other since the 1960s. Newaygo was off to its first 3-0 start since 2014 and Tri County was looking to keep the momentum its built over the last few seasons.
But while Newaygo was leading 35-30 in the 4th quarter, Tri County's Jayden Button collapsed. There's no word on how he's doing tonight but the game did not resume. Our thoughts are with Jayden along with his family members, teammates, classmates, and coaches.
