VOTE | 13 On Your Sidelines MVP of the Year

This is the big one! After three months of football, it is time to hand out the big trophy for the 13 On Your Sidelines MVP of the Year. But who will it go to?

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — In the spirit of transparency, this is one of the toughest times of the year for the 13 On Your Sidelines staff. On the bright side, we're about to honor one of West Michigan's very best playmakers with a big trophy when they're voted 13 On Your Sidelines MVP of the Year. But the tough thing is narrowing down the list of candidates.

To do that, we reached out to the coaches of the teams we cover on a regular basis and asked them for their team's stats. Then we poured through the numbers we received, and we debated. We don't want to leave anyone out, but ultimately felt like the following five nominees stood out from all the rest.

Brody Betser - Caledonia quarterback

He was voted our 13 On Your Sidelines MVP of the Week earlier this season for his performance during week four, and Brody Betser didn't slow down after that. The Caledonia senior put up 1841 passing yards, 25 passing touchdowns, 413 rushing yards and six rushing touchdowns over the course of the season.

Beau Harris - Coopersville quarterback

Here's another former 13 On Your Sidelines MVP of the Week. Beau Harris had a heck of a season for the Broncos, leading them to a River Cities Alliance conference championship. The senior had 1554 passing yards, 23 passing touchdowns, 1013 rushing yards and 14 rushing touchdowns.

Jayden Terry - Grandville running back

The guy they call "Tank" is the reigning 13 On Your Sidelines MVP of the Year, after winning this very same race last season as a sophomore. His junior season was spectacular also. Jayden Terry put up 1652 rushing yards and 24 touchdowns on the ground. He also has 76 receiving yards and one receiving touchdown.

Landon Tungate - Byron Center quarterback

The Bulldogs have had an incredible season and Landon Tungate is a huge part of what's gotten them this far. The senior put up 1479 passing yards and 20 touchdowns through the air, and he also had 1074 rushing yards and 15 touchdowns on the ground to lead Byron Center.

Carson Vis - South Christian quarterback

This future Western Michigan University Bronco has been a one-man wrecking crew for South Christian in his senior year. Carson Vis put up 1976 passing yards and 19 touchdowns through the air, and he also had 984 rushing yards and 14 passing yards on the ground for the Sailors.
