VOTE | 13 On Your Sidelines MVP candidates for Week 3

Last week, Zeeland West's Keaton Hendricks won the award. So who's next? That's up to our viewers to decide!

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Just like that, the first third of the high school football season is in the books. It has been a wild three weeks so far in the 2024 season of 13 On Your Sidelines, and there were plenty of young men putting their talents on display. It was difficult for us to narrow it down to just three nominees, but the guys below stood out among all the rest.

Carson Vis - South Christian quarterback

This guy just has a knack for clutch performances in big games, and that's why he's made the nomination list for the second consecutive week. On Friday night, Vis threw for 196 passing yards and four touchdowns as the Sailors beat West Catholic on the road in a 41-38 slugfest. He also ran for 195 yards and two additional scores.

Jackson DeHoop - Unity Christian quarterback/defensive back

Here's another guy that can make things happen with his arm and his legs. DeHoop threw for 125 yards and two touchdowns, and ran for 46 yards and a touchdown on Friday night. He also ran in a 2-point conversion, and on defense he added an interception. The 3-0 Crusaders appear to be back to their winning ways after beating Forest Hills Eastern.

Isaac Poot - Rockford running back

We've been calling his name for years on 13 On Your Sidelines, and Isaac Poot is showing his stuff again. He was a triple threat for Rockford's offense against Grandville. He ran for 91 yards, caught four passes for 71 yards, and threw a 17-yard pass. The future GVSU Laker also had a big punt return while serving as a punter and safety for the undefeated Rams.

Remember, you have until Thursday, September 19 at noon to vote for your favorite. We hope to have the MVP in studio with us during Friday's episode of 13 On Your Sidelines.
