DETROIT — Hudsonville (12-1) takes on Detroit Cass Tech (11-2) at Ford Field on Saturday at 7 p.m.
The winner will be crowned the MSHAA Division 1 champions.
The Hudsonville community came out bundled up with signs and cheers Saturday afternoon to send off the football team as they made the trip to Detroit.
"It's just such an awesome opportunity, and these boys have wanted it for so long, and they're a true team. There isn't just one superstar. They all work together to be here...really cool," said Courtney Paul, whose son Quinn Paul is a senior and on the team.
In the Division 3 bracket, Zeeland West (12-1) faces Detroit Martin Luther King (10-3). That game started at 12:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 30.
Orchard Lake St. Mary's defeated Byron Center in the MHSAA Division 2 championship game on Friday at Ford Field. The final score was 35-19.
