GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — It's playoff time! Nine weeks of high school football are in the books in the state of Michigan, which means every game that happens between now and Thanksgiving weekend is an elimination game. With such high stakes, you have to make sure your playmakers are locked in and ready to perform. These guys sure were during week nine, and that's why they've been nominated to be our 13 On Your Sidelines MVP of the Week!

Nolan Zbytowski - Portland running back

The Portland Red Raiders wrapped up an undefeated regular season with a dominating 49-7 win over Whitehall on Friday, and Nolan Zbytowski was a big reason for their victory. He carried the ball 15 times for 144 yards and a head-turning four touchdowns.

Amari Powell - Holland quarterback

Holland's strength of schedule wasn't enough to get them into the playoffs. But the Dutch sure do have a lot to be proud of. After two straight seasons without a win, Holland went 5-4 in 2024, capped off with a 48-24 win over Godwin Heights. Powell threw for 95 yards and three touchdowns through the air. He also ran for 100 yards.

Codey Manley - Belding running back

"Manley" is an apt name for this Belding senior. He was the dude for the Black Knights on Friday as they shut out Hopkins 4-0. Manley had 142 yards on 10 carries with two touchdowns to go with it. That helped propel Belding to its 4th consecutive conference title in the OK Silver.

Those are your nominees! You have until Wednesday at 6 p.m. to cast your vote!
