ALLENDALE, Mich. — The latest Meijer Scholar Athlete of the week has a bright future both in and out of sports.
Allendale High School student Halle Steele is a four-sport star for the Falcons playing basketball and soccer, while also running cross country and track.
The senior has seen success in all of those sports, but also outside of athletics. Steele is involved with Young Life and the school's Rotary Interact Club.
However, her studies might be where she stands out the most. She is in the national honor society with a 4.24 G.P.A., which is good enough to be ranked in the top 5 of her class.
Steele says her success all comes down to determination.
"I'd say dedication to your team and then taking the time to put in work with your school work as well," Stelle said. "Time management, that also goes with that. Just working hard and giving it your all with everything you do. I would say trust your leaders and trust all of your hard work will pay off. It might feel like it is not going to but I promise it will in the end."
Steele will play soccer at the next level at Milligan University, where she plans to study nursing. She hopes to become either a nurse or a physician's assistant.
