HUDSONVILLE, Mich. (WZZM) -- The Unity Christian boys soccer team opened the state tournament with an impressive 8-0 win over West Catholic Monday night at Unity Field.
The Crusaders (19-1), who won the OK Green Conference title, scored twice in the game's first 10 minutes and cruised from in Division 3 district play.
Senior Jared Timmer scored three goals and added an assist to lead Unity, which will play Catholic Central on Wednesday in the semifinals.
