Muskegon Lumberjacks are playoff-bound once again

The Jacks are just the second team in the Eastern Conference to clinch a bid for the playoffs in 2024.

MUSKEGON, Mich. — The Muskegon Lumberjacks are back in the postseason after missing the playoffs last year for the first time since 2016.

"It feels good to clinch a spot in the playoffs," Lumberjacks forward Sacha Boisvert said. "We've been working hard the whole season to get to this point. It's not over yet. We still have to try and get the second seed in our conference so we can get a bye in the first round. That would be huge, obviously."

"Feels really good," Lumberjacks forward Cody Croal said. "Obviously, last year did not go as planned not making it. But this year we worked really hard to get to where we got and we are not done yet."

Muskegon is back where it belongs in the USHL postseason.

"It's a reward for our players for their work that they did not only throughout the season but last summer and being able to rebuild after a transitional year for our organization," Lumberjacks head coach Parker Burgess said. "I am excited that they have accomplished our first goal and that is entering and securing a spot in the Clark Cup playoffs."

The Jacks have just six games left in the regular season, with one of those games coming at home. Muskegon is on the road beginning on Friday night for a two-game set against Cedar Rapids. The Lumberjacks are 34-20-1-1 overall this season.
