GRAND RAPIDS, Mich — It was all smiles on Wednesday, October 11 at Van Andel Arena when the Grand Rapids Sports Hall of Fame inducted a new class of sports legends making their hometown proud.

One Hall of Fame inductee that stuck out from the crowd, mostly because of his strong, 6-foot-4 frame was Cameron Bradfield.

"It's honestly surreal. It's still really kind of settling in a little bit," Bradfield said in reaction to his induction.

"Walking in and seeing all these banners of people that I idolized growing up who are just superstars and giants in the history of Grand Rapids sports - to be kind of up there beside them is truly an unbelievable feeling."

Bradfield was a standout for the Creston High School Polar Bears on the northeast side of Grand Rapids where he earned first-team all city honors. He played offensive line at Grand Valley State University where he became an AFCA first-team All American. He was not picked in the NFL Draft, but was signed by the Jacksonville Jaguars where he played three seasons. He was a starter during some of his career.

Now, Bradfield has a new role in the NFL.

"I am a college scout for the Philadelphia Eagles. It's my first year as a college scout and my second year in scouting," said Bradfield, who added that his new job is going well.

"It's very different obviously than playing. It's very different on the front office side than if you are a player, or a coach, or whatnot, so to kind of learn the business a little more and the different components, it's been great so far. I've enjoyed the process.

Bradfield was one of six inductions into the Hall of Fame this year.
