DETROIT — Amid an exciting game day for the Detroit Lions also came something that could affect those attending the game.

A nation-wide Verizon outage has affected customers across the country. Ford Field has alerted people with tickets to Monday night's game that they should plan on downloading their tickets before arriving to the field.

The Lions will take on the undefeated Seahawks Monday night.

Seattle has won 30 of 42 games in the marquee matchup, including a 14-4 run since 2010.

The Lions have also lost to the Seahawks in each of the past three seasons under Campbell and have dropped six straight games in the series, including a playoff win in the 2016 season and early last season.

But something special in the air tonight may bring the Lions a win.

Detroit is wearing its black uniforms, featuring the color for the first time since former Lion Calvin Johnson was catching passes for the franchise in 2007.

Johnson, also known as "Megatron," is one of the greatest wide receivers in NFL history.

‌Hailing from Georgia Tech, Johnson was drafted to the Lions in the first round in 2007. He set the NFL single-season receiving yardage record with 1,964 yards in 2012, was selected to six Pro Bowl teams and chosen for three first-team All-Pro teams between 2010 and 2015.

He will be celebrated before Monday's game by being inducted into the Pride of the Lions, which only 21 players have joined before.

Gov. Gretchen Whitmer declared Monday "Megatron Day" in honor of the upcoming ceremony.
