Would you miss your own wedding for the Lions to win the Super Bowl?

DETROIT — A new survey suggests that Detroit Lions fans are willing to give up some pretty big things in life just to see the team hoist the Vince Lombardi Trophy after winning the Super Bowl.

Of all of the NFL teams, it's pretty easy to argue that the Lions are one of the most disappointing franchises in the Super Bowl-era.

The Lions are one of 12 teams to never win a Super Bowl, one of four teams to never play in a Super Bowl and only one of two non-expansion teams to have never won or played in a Super Bowl.

So, it's no surprise that nearly one in 10 Lions fans surveyed would skip their own wedding to see their team win the Super Bowl.

The survey, conducted by RotoGrinders, asked over 3,000 NFL fans what they would be willing to give up for their team to win the Super Bowl.

Here is what Lions fans said when asked:

What would you give up for the Lions to win the Super Bowl?

  1. A date with your celebrity crush: 28%
  2. The last ever concert of your favorite artist: 24%
  3. An all-expenses paid trip to a Las Vegas casino: 22%
  4. A winning bet of $2,000: 17%
  5. Family wedding: 11%
  6. Annual bonus: 10%
  7. Your own wedding: 7%
  8. Your honeymoon: 6%
  9. Your marriage: 3%
  10. The funeral of a close family member: 3%
  11. Your child being born: 3%
  12. Retirement savings: 2%

Now, let's see what you have to say! Choose what you'd be willing to give up for the Lions to win the Super Bowl.
