West Michigan bars prepare to host watch parties for Lions game

With a game this big, it's important to get your gameday plan sorted out ahead of time.

MICHIGAN, USA — The Lions are headed to Santa Clara to play in the NFC Championship Game against the San Francisco 49ers this Sunday.

While some dedicated fans are traveling across the country to be with the Lions, others are organizing ways for everyone to watch from home.

Needless to say, most bars with TVs in Michigan will have the game on.

However, with a game this big, it's important to get your gameday plan sorted out ahead of time.

The Detroit Lions themselves are hosting a watch party at Ford Field.

Tickets to the party are available now, with proceeds going towards the Detroit Lions Foundation. Gates open at 5 p.m. for the 6:30 p.m. kickoff.

Atwater Brewery in Grand Rapids is hosting a watch party with food and drink specials throughout the game, which will be streamed on their big screen.

In Allendale, Trail Point Brewery is hosting a watch party starting at 6 p.m. Closing hours were extended to 10 p.m. to make sure there will be plenty of time for the game to finish.

Coopserville Brewing Company is also hosting a watch party beginning at 6 p.m.

In Muskegon, Unruly Brewing Company is hosting a watch party at 6 p.m. The kitchen will be closed and people are welcome to bring their own food and crock pots. There will be seating for large groups.
