INDIANAPOLIS — West Michigan native Xavier Tillman and the Boston Celtics advanced to the NBA Finals on Monday night after a 115-112 win over the Indiana Pacers.
Tillman played eight minutes in the win and recorded two rebounds. The Grand Rapids Christian grad becomes the first West Michigan native to make the final since Devin Booker in 2021.
The former Michigan State Spartan was traded from the Memphis Grizzlies to Boston in the middle of this season.
Tillman and the Celtics will begin the NBA Finals on June 6th.
