OTTAWA COUNTY, Mich. — A 26-year-old man with a suspended license caused a crash around 6:40 a.m. Sunday on 24th Avenue north of Truman Street, according to the Ottawa County Sheriff's Office.

The man, who is from Fremont, was driving in a Chevrolet HHR and swerved to miss a deer in the road, causing him to cross the center line and hit a Chevrolet Silverado that was driving northbound with two people in it.

The 26-year-old was the only one in his car and was taken to the hospital with injuries that are not life-threatening. The passengers of the other car, a 53-year-old man and a 68-year-old man both from Conklin, are OK.

The man who caused the crash was cited for driving left of center.
