KENT COUNTY, Mich. — A multi-car crash left one person dead and another injured Tuesday morning in Kent County.
Police say the incident happened around 7 a.m. on 100th Street SE.
Preliminary investigation indicates traffic was relatively heavy when a line of cars slowed down to a stop. The at-fault driver failed to stop, which resulted in a four-car rear-end crash.
Police say the at-fault driver was air-lifted to an area hospital. The driver of the first impacted car was pronounced dead at the scene. No other injuries were reported.
100th Street SE is currently closed between East Paris and Patterson. Police expect the road to be closed for the next few hours.
