OTTAWA COUNTY, Mich. — One person is critical condition after a crash near Allendale Thursday morning.
It happened just after 8 a.m. at the intersection of Linden Drive NW and River Hill Drive in Tallmadge Township.
According to a press release from the Ottawa County Sheriff's Office, a 65-year-old Grand Rapids man in 2002 Dodge Caravan was going west on River Hill Drive. When he entered the intersection he collided with a 50-year-old Muskegon woman driving a 2006 Chrysler Town and Country going south on Linden Drive.
The impact of the crash forced the Town and Country to collide with an empty building. The Muskegon woman was flown to Spectrum Butterworth in critical condition. There was also a passenger in her vehicle that sustained minor injuries, the sheriff's office said.
The Grand Rapids man was also taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Linden Drive and River Hill Drive were both shut down following the crash. They remain closed while authorities continue their investigation and clean-up the debris. It has since reopened.
