GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Michigan gas prices are down three cents compared to last week with drivers paying about $3.92 per gallon for regular unleaded.
The average price per gallon is now down 28 cents compared to this time last month, but is up $1.13 compared to this time last year. According to AAA, Michigan drivers are paying about $58 on average to fill up a 15-gallon tank of gasoline.
“While Michigan motorists saw a slight drop in the price at the pump last week, crude oil prices increased,” said Adrienne Woodland, spokesperson, AAA-The Auto Club Group. "If crude oil prices continue to increase, pump prices could possibly follow suit."
The most expensive prices for gas in the state are in Marquette ($4.13), Ann Arbor ($4.01) and Traverse City ($4.00).
The least expensive prices for gas are in Lansing ($3.80), Grand Rapids ($3.81) and Saginaw ($3.82).
