Some lane closures scheduled to last one day, others through mid-December in Grand Rapids

Lane closures are scheduled in the beginning of the week, some to last longer.

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Lane closures are taking place throughout the Grand Rapids area on Monday, Tuesday and through mid-December. 

Lane closures for road and bridge work are scheduled from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Monday on eastbound I-96 from Forest Hill Avenue to M-11 (28th Street).

On Tuesday from 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. westbound I-96 lane closures are scheduled.

Burton Street is currently scheduled to remain closed over I-96 through mid-December. 

The traffic from this closure is detoured using Patterson Avenue, M-11 and Kraft Avenue. 

Traffic shifts and shoulder closures will remain in effect on I-96 between Forest Hill Avenue and M-11 (28th Street).
