Michigan State Police report no serious injures after semi-truck involved crash on I-96

The initial report is that a semi truck ran into three separate vehicles that were slowing down for the upcoming construction zone.

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Michigan State Police (MSP) posted to the social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter, on Wednesday that a four-car crash occurred in Grand Rapids.

MSP said Grand Rapids Post troopers responded to the scene on westbound I-96 East of Alden Nash.

Their initial report is that a semi truck ran into three separate vehicles that were slowing down for the upcoming construction zone.

MSP reported nobody was seriously injured in the crash. They also said traffic could still get through on the shoulder, however they advised people use al alternate route while clean-up continues.

The roadway was reopened around 6:20 p.m. Wednesday according to the Michigan Department of Transportation.

The crash is still being investigated by MSP.
