GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - If you've felt a little left out this Spring Break, don't! Allegiant Air just announced a new, low-fare flight from Grand Rapids to Florida.
Starting Friday, April 5 travelers out of the Gerald R. Ford International Airport can catch a trip down to Sarasota/Brandenton for as low as $55 each way.
This flight will be year-round and operate twice weekly, according to a new release from the airline. With this latest addition, Allegiant now flies to seven cities from Grand Rapids. In June, the airline plans to add Nashville, Tennessee and Savannah, Georgia to the list.
Earlier this year, the Ford Airport and the Right Place came together to open an Allegiant Air base in Grand Rapids. The airline was set to add at least 66 new jobs and invest $42.8 million into expanded services.
