GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — After one of the cloudiest, wettest, and downright dreariest Aprils on record I think we could all use a little heat. Soon West Michigan will seemingly be skipping to summer with temperatures driving into the 80s.
Increasing warmth arrives late this weekend into next week as a blocky weather pattern sets up across the country. This ‘blockiness’ will support several days around 80°, with the possibility of temperatures driving well into the 80s.
Things will fluctuate some over the next couple of days, but as of now, we should expect Tuesday through Friday of next week to be spent in the 80s. Just in time for Tulip Time.
Along with warmer temperatures, there will also be higher humidity levels. Remember the closer the dewpoint gets to the temperatures, the stickier it will be outside. Certainly a feeling we have not experienced in quite some time.
Now, not only will it be very warm and humid, but it's looking likely that it will be sunny outside as well. With very limited chances for rain after Friday.
So, fire up the grills, turn on the AC, and dust off your flip-flops because summer-like weather is on its way.
