GRAND RAPIDS, Mich — A Clean Air Action Day has been declared for Tuesday, May 30th.
Meaning that pollutants are expected to reach an unhealthy level for groups sensitive to pollutants.
This is in effect for the following counties:
Van Buren, Allegan, Ottawa, Kent, Muskegon, Oceana, and Mason
When a clean air action day is issued, you should limit doing things that could lead to additional ozone formation—such as mowing lawn, refueling gas, and using gas or electric grills. Carpooling, walking, or biking to work can be helpful on Clean Air Action Days.
It's suggested that those with respiratory diseases should limit outdoor activity.
You can keep track of the air quality in your location at airnow.gov
