MICHIGAN, USA — Halloween's snowy weather left many without power along the lakeshore, and prompted school closings in the affected areas.
Consumers Energy reported over 35,000 people without power Tuesday evening as powerlines were down due to the heavy snowfall.
In Muskegon, the snowfall total as of 8 pm was 8.8'', a record for October 31, and the second-highest , single-day amount prior to November 15. (On November 14, 1908 Muskegon received 16.0".)
