NWS: 1 to 4 inches of snow accumulation possible

The National Weather Service said 1 to 4 inches of snow accumulation are possible for parts of Michigan Thursday night.

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — According to the National Weather Service (NWS), 1 to 4 inches of snow accumulation are possible for parts of West Michigan Thursday night.

The NWS said there will be snow accumulations and windy conditions Thursday night and into Friday morning with rain changing to snow Thursday afternoon and evening.

The NWS said snow accumulations of 1 to 4 inches will be highest north and west from a line from Muskegon to Clare.

There will also be gusty winds more than 30 mph and the weight of snow may lead to downed tree limbs and power outages. Slick spots on overpasses are also possible.

Minor flooding is possible along the Grand River at Comstock Park and Robinson Township, as well as the Maple River at Maple Rapids.
