Father's Day thunderstorms could bring heavy rainfall and possible severe weather to West Michigan late Sunday afternoon and continuing into the early morning hours Monday.
According to the Storm Prediction Center, as of late Saturday, it is forecasting an 'Enhanced Risk' of severe weather over portions of Lower Michigan. An 'Enhanced Risk' is a category 3 out of 5.
The higher threats will be damaging wind gusts (60+ mph) and large hail (1"+) with a lower threat for tornadoes. Rapid flooding will likely be an issue.

Computer weather models struggle with predicting rainfall amounts resulting from convection (storms). Look at the differences between these models. The HRRR is the best at depicting location and amounts, but none are perfect.
Nonetheless, flooding is possible with these storms; in some cases it could lead to temporary urban and small stream flooding. Be prepared!
